Forwarding, auto-reply, catch-all and groups

Send mail on to another address, reply while you are away, and share one address between several people.

Forwarding

A mailbox user sets it in webmail under Settings → Forwarding; an admin can do it in the dashboard from Mailboxes → the mailbox menu → Forwarding & auto-reply. Add one or more addresses and choose whether to keep a copy in the mailbox. Mail forwarded outside shows as “Name via yourcompany.com” so receivers trust it, and spam is never forwarded.

Auto-reply (out of office)

In the same place, write a subject and message and optionally a start and end date. Without an end date it stays on until you turn it off.

Forwarding to outside addresses and auto-replies pause while your organization cannot send, for example when an invoice is overdue.

Catch-all

Open Domains, click the domain and use the Catch-all card to deliver mail for addresses that don't exist (a typo in a name, an old address) to a mailbox you choose. It also attracts spam, so leave it off unless you need it.

Groups

A group is one address, like team@, that delivers to several mailboxes and doesn't use a seat. Create one under Groups → New group. Groups are included in the Business and Pro plans. For an extra address that goes to just one person, use a free alias.
